So, besides all the guitar building going on around here, what else do you all have cooking in the shop/bathroom/shed/etc? ![]() Me? I have a workbench, some mobile bases for the band saw and jointer and most importantly, finishing off the basement where the "shop" will reside. Just wanted to see what other woodworking/building is going on around here. |

I just finished adding rabbit fencing to my existing deer fencing around my garden. Next I'm building a swingset, play area for the granddaughter. Hopefully, in a week I can get back to guitars. Sometimes life gets in the way of lutherie. But as Hesh says, "it's all good." ![]() Ron |

Back to school by distance learning in case the airline fails completely! Man, do I feel old taking college calculus at age 43! At least it's from home where I won't be surrounded by 19 year olds reminding me how old I am...wait...my own kids'll be doing that! ![]() |

I'm just starting a blackjack table, full casino size. I just got an original felt layout that came off one of the tables at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, in their high roller pit. I know I need an extra bench more, but I need diversions to keep me sharp even more than that. |

I'm building a 12' x 40" flat bottom "Jon" boat for me and my 3 year old to go fishing in. I've got the plywood, just need to get to it. The real problem is that myshop is only 185 sft (16x10x16x15 not exactly square) and I'm not sure how I will be able to build this thing. It'll look something like this when it's finished. ![]() |

Trying to find a decent job. Lost my job at the woodworking factory and had to settle for a job at one of the big super center stores that I`ll refrain to name. First time I`ve ever worked in any kind of retail enviroment, but I must say that I`m not impressed and thier pitches and promises are all bold-faced lies. ![]() Throwing ladder rack back on the truck and shaking bushes this week. Wish me luck, Gang |

Well, my shop won't get started until next year (and probably won't be finished until the year after ![]() I also picked up some machined parts from my friend, Ted Thompson of Thompson Guitars. These parts are going to make my binding jig, like the Larrivee/Guitar Jigs model. Ted actually made Larrivee's for him at one point also. And, like Ron, I have to build a play centre for tyhe kids (grandkids are a ways away yet...I am only 44!!!) Besides that, I am about to start cutting a whole WHACK of Lutz! Shane |

I'm finishing a trio of websites for my church. They're my last major sites. I was doing book design and flash based sites until I found a teaching job. So now I'm teaching at an inner-city elementry school, trying to find something to do with my life I'm proud of. I don't think this is it. I thought it would be, and I'm not unproud of it, but I think I just need to finish seminary and do what I always wanted to do in the first place. My last two or so years have been difficult in this regard (trying to direct myself towards a vocation somewhere). |

I have a few layouts from the hard rock (leopard print, martini girls, hot rod, etc)...I am going to build a frame for one, its a big acoustic guitar with the player spots are guitar picks from the early days of the hard rock. of course, that will go in the shop. |

This summer a the front entrance hall floor will be redone, most likely slate, plus the adjoining first floor laundry, and the main floor powder room. New vanity and toilet, paint, wall cabinet ..tout le gang . Plus a new roof (contractor), and a sprinkler system for the yard. Most likely doing that myself. |

FrankC, I have the Martini Girls one (I believe thats the same as what you're talking about - blue with girls and drinks as the betting spots...). I wanted the peacock lounge one, but ended up with this one. Its going into a blue painted room anyway so it should be good. Send me some pics when you make yurs, I'd love to see it! |

Larry, Blue, and I don`t mean as in 12-bar... Might have gotten lucky this AM. Local factory is hiring a maintenance man. That`s right up my alley. Applied for it, got my fingerts crossed. |
